2019 is now in effect, new chapter in your book, your journey, your life. Buddy, Dash & I have embarked on our second Paws Across Milford challenge to walk all the streets in the City of Milford, Ct. to raise awareness & funds for Mental Health & Suicide Prevention. Today is the 13th of January and we have done 6 walks and have covered 27 streets, there are over 1,000 in the city of Milford. The journey has started in the Devon section of this amazing city, along the coastline of which is beautiful here. The goal is to have the city completely walked by Sunday, September 8, 2019. This date is the Second Walk Milford Challenge. This challenge is to walk the Entire City in less than 2 hours time. More about the challenge in another blog. Let me tell you about the walks we have completed. The first walked was along the coastline on East Broadway, New Years Day, 50 degrees and a wonderful way to start the year. The skyline had clouds and some colors. Incredible start and continued on for 5 more walks. Walked near the Audubon in Milford, if you have not been there you need to! The temperatures have started to drop as well during the walks. January we walked and were given an amazing sunset! Saturday afternoon January 12th another golden sight off Milford Point road! One thing that I have noticed is the new construction going on. I have noticed too the rebuilding of some homes, or raising of some. The coastline can flood and is subjected to the hurricanes when they occur. When you walk you see much more than when you drive around the city. Stay tuned for the stories that will come from our adventures! Moments DO Matter my friends.
